Finally, A Sports Photography Blog

or perhaps, just another blog?

There are about a gazillion photo blogs out there, there are even blogs that just list other photo blogs. I hope the Competitive Image Blog will be a bit different.

Over the last several months there have been several that I have been following – Strobist, Joe McNally, Zach Arias and a few others. While I am not trying to copy either their technique or their style, seeing their work and gaining insight into what and how they shoot, continues to enhance the way that I look at things. The more I know and understand the more I can bring to every image I shoot.

My goal for the Competitive Image blog, which will no doubt evolve over time, is to share some of the ways that I shoot, what I look for in a great shot and to add to the way you creatively think about things. We (me and a few of the guys that shoot with me) will include some discussion, examples and even a few videos of what we are doing.

Recently a client, who’s wife is a graphic designer told me that Aimee really likes your work. I hope I never get beyond being flattered by these comments, after all, I am just out there having fun.
